Unlike the base model’s generic configuration, this variant is tailored for the Japanese market and carrier‑locked to the SC‑52D / SGH‑N795 network, being sold as a Premium Edition.

It shares the same core hardware as the Galaxy S23 Ultra but offers 256 GB of internal storage, placing it between the lower‑capacity Standard Editions and the higher‑capacity 512 GB Premium Editions offered elsewhere, such as the US and Korean models, and distinct from the Japanese 512 GB Premium Edition (SM‑S918J).

Compared with all other listed variants, this is the only Japanese‑market Premium Edition that combines 256 GB storage with the SC‑52D / SGH‑N795 carrier branding; every other JP variant either steps up to 512 GB storage or falls back to a Standard Edition, while regional editions in North America and Canada differ in carrier, storage options, and edition naming.
