Its front is dominated by a 6.67‑inch AM‑OLED panel that delivers vivid colours and sharp detail at a resolution of 1080 by 2400 pixels, offering a comfortable viewing experience for everything from scrolling through feeds to watching video content.

Inside, the device runs Google Android 11 and is equipped with 8 GiB of RAM, providing smooth multitasking and responsive app performance. This variant

The SM‑G996U model is the US‑specific version that adds Verizon branding (the V suffix) and supports the carrier’s Ultra Wideband 5G spectrum, a step beyond the standard sub‑6 GHz 5G offered on the base Galaxy S21+ 5G. It ships with 256 GB of internal storage, double the 128 GB found on many of its sibling SKUs, while keeping the same 8 GiB of RAM and the rest of the hardware unchanged.

Compared with other SM‑G996U variants, this one pairs the 256 GB capacity with the Verizon‑specific firmware, whereas the 128 GB models (SM‑G996U/128GB) come with either no carrier lock (U1) or with AT&T, T‑Mobile, Sprint or unlocked versions. The only other 256 GB SKUs in the list differ by carrier suffix (R4, P, A, T) or lack a carrier tag altogether, making the V‑suffixed unit the Verizon‑tied option.
