The ZTE Nubia Z40 Pro 5G presents a sleek profile with dimensions of 72.9 mm wide, 161.9 mm tall and just 8.46 mm thick, weighing in at 199 grams. Its front is dominated by a 6.67‑inch colour AM‑OLED panel that delivers a resolution of 1080 by 2400 pixels, offering vivid colours and deep contrast for media consumption and everyday use.

Under the hood the device runs Google Android 12 (S) and is equipped with 12 GiB of RAM, providing ample headroom for multitasking and demanding applications. Power comes from a 5000 mAh battery, aimed at supporting extended usage between charges, while the phone accommodates a single SIM card for connectivity.

This variant

The Gravity Edition trim is marginally thinner than the standard ZTE Nubia Z40 Pro 5G, measuring 8.4 mm thick versus the base model’s 8.46 mm. Its battery is reduced to 4600 mAh, compared with the 5000 mAh cell in the base model, and it adds 15 W wired charging capability not specified for the base model.

Compared with the other Gravity Edition that ships with 1 TB of storage and 16 GB of RAM, this version offers 256 GB of storage and pairs it with the same 12 GB RAM found in the base model. Against the Premium Edition models, it provides half the storage of the 512 GB variant while matching the 12 GB RAM of the 256 GB Premium Edition, and it exceeds both Standard Editions in RAM, delivering 12 GB versus their 8 GB, while its 256 GB storage doubles that of the 128 GB Standard Edition and equals the 256 GB Standard Edition.
