Sony's Xperia 1 VI presents a slender and tall silhouette, measuring 74 by 162 by 8.2 millimetres and tipping the scales at just 192 grams. At its front lies a 6.5‑inch AM‑OLED screen that delivers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 by 2340 pixels, offering vivid colours and deep contrast. The device ships with Android 14, Google’s latest mobile operating system, providing a modern and streamlined software foundation.
Under the hood, 12 gigabytes of RAM keep everyday tasks and more demanding applications running smoothly. A 5,000 mAh battery supplies the power needed for extended use, and it can be topped up through a 15‑watt wired charger. Connectivity is handled via a single SIM slot, keeping the phone ready for voice and data services on the go.
This variant features dual SIM capability and adds 5G UW support. It is aimed at the Japanese market, ships with 256GB of storage, and is sold under carrier SOG13 (model XQ-EC14) as a Standard Edition.
Compared with the EMEA‑bound Standard Edition model, it swaps the region for Japan and adds UW; versus the JP 512GB model it halves the storage while retaining UW; against the NA UW model it shifts the region to Japan and keeps the Standard Edition label; and finally, it differs from the other JP UW Standard Edition model by carrying carrier SOG13 and model number XQ-EC14 instead of SO‑51E and XQ-EC04.
