LYF, pronounced "life," is an Indian brand of smartphones and consumer electronics developed by the telecommunications giant Jio. Headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, the company operates as a subsidiary of Jio, which is itself the telecommunication arm of Reliance Industries. The brand focuses on manufacturing 4G-enabled VoLTE smartphones that run on the Android operating system, aiming to provide affordable mobile connectivity solutions for the local market. The company quickly established a significant presence in the Indian mobile market shortly after its launch. By 2016, industry research firm Counterpoint Research identified LYF as the fifth-largest smartphone player in India. During that same period, it also held the position of the second-largest supplier of LTE phones in the country, highlighting its rapid adoption and market penetration in the high-speed mobile sector.
