Amazon is an American multinational technology and retail company that operates in the mobile phone sector primarily through the development of the Fire Phone. The device was introduced by the company as part of its broader ecosystem of hardware products, which also includes the Kindle e-reader and Fire tablets. While Amazon is globally recognized for its e-commerce platform and cloud computing services, its foray into the smartphone market was a distinct effort to integrate its digital content services directly with a dedicated hardware interface.
